On 29 November, thanks to the kindness of our colleagues from the ERC GRAPH EAST project (Centre d’études supérieures de civilization médiévale, Université de Poitiers), we organized a workshop in practical inscription engraving as part of the ERC STONE-MASTERS project run from the Faculty of History. The workshop began with a short lecture in which Dr. Thierry Grégor and Dr. Maria Villano showed ancient engraving techniques, tools and types of stones suitable for such work. Then, without unnecessary waiting, the workshop participants happily engaged in the practice of cutting out letters. The event provided a lot of knowledge and joy to all participants, regardless of the stage of their academic career.
