Trivent Publishing serves the academic community by publishing peer-reviewed volumes dedicated to academic research. Their main focus (and passion!) is publishing books in the general field of history and the specific field of Medieval Studies through their Trivent Medieval imprint. Trivent Medieval is a growing imprint with book series on varied subjects ranging from art history to equine history and medievalism. Their three other imprints, Trivent Violence & Conflict, Trivent Ethics in Science & Technology, and Trivent Transhumanism publish books dedicated to studies on the philosophy of conflict and criminology (including their Philosophical Journal of Conflict and Violence), bioethics and applied philosophy, as well as transhumanism and posthumanism.

Trivent Publishing was created by people in the Academia for the people in the Academia with the purpose of facilitating knowledge dissemination for the benefit of academics. This is why they encourage open access publications in order to best suit the purposes of today’s scholarship and to make knowledge available worldwide.
