Lorena's new publication!

Good news in our team thanks to Lorena's publication! Pérez Yarza, Lorena and Bonnet, Corinne (2024). "Divine Names and Bilingualism in Rome: Religious Dynamics in Multilingual Spaces". In Alaya Palamidis and Corinne Bonnet (eds.) Julie Bernini, Enrique Nieto Izquierdo and Lorena Pérez Yarza (collaborators), What’s in a Divine Name?: Religious Systems and Human Agency in the Ancient Mediterranean. Berlin, Boston: De Gruyter, 2024, pp. 759-780.

As the authors point out: "It is an approximate examination of the bilingual religious institutions in Rome, where we have studied the ways in which languages and the religious function of language change, whether for aesthetic, social or religious reasons. We have studied all the inscriptions in two languages that mention gods with some defining feature or onomastic complement, including funerary inscriptions to the gods of the underworld".
