Lorena's stay in Münster

In recent months, Lorena Pérez Yarza was awarded a two-month research fellowship at the University of Münster, funded by the Heinrich Hertz Foundation and granted on the recommendation of Prof. Dr Johannes Hahn of the Institute for Epigraphy, Department of Ancient History.

The scholarship covered the expenses of her relocation to Münster for two months where she did palaeographic and religious studies research on the work package "Gods in Motion: The Rise, Adaptation, and Decline of Jupiter Dolichenus in the Roman Frontier Regions of the Latin West". As part of this work, she conducted epigraphic autopsies in several museums throughout the Rhineland and made extensive use of both the established databases and the specialised expertise of the Asia Minor Research Centre at the University of Münster to explain the involvement of stonecutters' workshops into religious epigraphy of the Roman Empire.
