Lorena’s Talk at the Jarandilla de la Vera Conference

Dr. Lorena Pérez Yarza (University of Warsaw), member of the ERC Project STONE MASTERS, travelled to Spain to participate in the XXI International ARYS Conference, “Homenaje a Jaime Alvar”, held in Jarandilla de la Vera from 11–12 September 2025.

On behalf of the STONE MASTERS team, she presented with Marina Bastero Acha the paper “Re-reading the Altars of Monte do Facho: Epigraphic Production and Religious Strategies in Late Roman Hispania”, which explored the results of their study of the Late Antique altar workshop of Monte do Facho, the latest known pagan epigraphic assemblage in the Iberian Peninsula. She also co-presented "Pushing the Boundaries: The Interrelation between Communitas and Individual Agency in Religious Expression”, a collaborative work on methodological approaches to the History of Religions with colleagues from the Universities of Málaga, Carlos III of Madrid, and Lund.
