Our Research Assistant Timo has successfully completed a two-week research stay at the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) in Rome (1–16 November 2025).

By making extensive use of the institute’s outstanding library holdings, which cover a wide spectrum of ancient studies, he was able to consult key editions and literature on ancient Ankara (Ancyra). The material forms part of his ongoing analysis of the city’s epigraphic corpus, through which he aims to identify possible shared workshops and individual stone-cutters by means of comparative palaeographic, iconographic and formulaic study.
